Since 1994 EFI has provided communications services to The McGraw-Hill Companies, writing keynote and other speeches for Chairman and CEO Harold McGraw III and for senior executives at the company’s operating divisions, including McGraw-Hill Education, Aviation Week and Standard & Poor’s.

Condé Nast
Since 1988, EFI has written speeches regularly for Steven T. Florio, formerly President and CEO of Condé Nast Publications, Inc., publishers of Vogue, Vanity Fair, Wired, Glamour, The New Yorker and other well-known magazines.

After his retirement as president and CEO of Conde' Nast, EFI worked with Mr. Florio and Professor Samuel Craig of New York University's Stern School of Business to prepare materials for a six-week course titled "Leadership in the Communications Industry." EFI prepared or compiled all support materials for the course, including audio/visual clips, lectures, and introductions for guest speakers Donald Trump, William Lauder, Michael Wolf and others.  The course proved so popular it was offered again in 2005 and 2006.  EFI updated all of the materials for the course each time, and prepared intros for guest speakers such as Martha Stewart, Ken Auletta and Michael Eisner.

EFI has written speeches for other well-known executives at CN, including Chairman S.I. Newhouse, GQ Publisher Thomas Florio, and former New Yorker Editor Tina Brown.  In addition, EFI has provided scripted remarks, at Condé Nast’s request, for celebrity guest speakers such as Donald Trump, Linda Evangelistia, Paula Zahn and Melba Moore.

2005 – A New Beginning
In 2005 co-founder and partner Randall Eiger retired from EFI Eiger and Folie Corporate Communications. Mike Folie continued running the business.

Mike Folie subsequently expanded EFI’s services to include writing for direct mail, advertising and marketing clients, and added three associate writers.  New clients have included German film equipment manufacturer ARRI, Inc., Bee-Alive, IBM, on-line printer Mimeo.com, consulting actuaries Milliman, Inc., Wall Street brokers MND Partners and AccessPoint Financial Communications.

In 2007 Mike re-named the company “EFI Business and Marketing Communications.”
